About Symposium

XXXIV Symposium on Hydroacoustics will be held during May 23-26, 2017 in Jastarnia, Poland. The Symposium is dedicated to the memory of kmdr dr hab. inż. Ignacy Gloza.

Symposia on Hydroacoustics have been held in Poland annually since 1984. This meeting is becoming an established forum for presenting latest developments in all major areas of hydroacoustics, promoting and integrating research in this field especially for the countries of the Baltic Sea Region. The Symposium subject includes: sound propagation in the sea, ambient and ship noise, nonlinear acoustics, ultrasonic transducers, signal and data processing, sonar systems and other topics related to underwater acoustics. The purpose of these meetings is primarily to create contacts and stimulate exchange of information among different teams working in this area.

The aim of the conference is the exchange of scientific ideas and technical information between research centers, industry and institutions that use hydroacoustic devices and systems for military, research (acoustics marine research, underwater archeology), economic (transport by sea and land, fishing, ocean engineering) and activities (yachting, fishing).
