Abstract: A moving ship is a source of acoustic perturbations resulting from her complex hull being a surface of irregular shape and from a rotational source - the propellers. The sources generate acoustic waves in wide frequency band. In case of a shallow sea the prapagation of the acoustic waves for varying source-detector distances and different frequencies are described applying the modes and ray theory.
