Model Equation for the Sound Beam in Inhomogeneous Liquid

Abstract: A beam propagation at inhomogeneous medium is treated in parabolic approximation. For a liquid with gas bubbles a model equation which combine Khokhlov-Zabolotskaya equation with a weak dispersion was derived. Equation with new coefficients which are revised for compressible liquid is obtained. That is essential for dynamics of bubbly liquid with small volume concentrations of bubbles. A physical realistic ranges of parameters in which the derived equation is valid are specified.
